My name is Chris Chanyasulkit. I’m a public health practitioner, advocate, keynote speaker, and master connector who speaks nationally about public health; literacy; civic engagement; and racial, gender, and health equity.

I’m also a mom of three, a dog mom of two pups, and an avid reader…and as of November 15, 2023, I’m the immediate past president of the American Public Health Association (APHA).

Here for you for collaborations, consulting, and speaking engagements.

I’m based in Massachusetts, but, of course love traveling. I’m always grateful for the connections that technology allows too!

Dr. Chanyasulkit is the author of Successful Public Health Advocacy: Lessons Learned from Massachusetts Legislators. Her signature ability to engage with a diverse range of audiences has made her a highly regarded speaker for students, educators, public health professionals, civic organizations, and general audiences across the country.

In addition to her advocacy and scholarly pursuits, Dr. Chanyasulkit is an elected Library Trustee of the Public Libraries of Brookline, a Brookline Community Emergency Response Team member, and a Brookline Medical Reserve Corps member. She is also a board member of United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.

United for Libraries (ULA)

Read For Health

A division of the American Library Association (ALA), United for Libraries is “voice for America’s libraries.” No one has a stronger voice for libraries than those who use them, raise money for them, and govern them. By uniting these voices, library supporters everywhere will become a real force to be reckoned with at the local, state, and national levels. Support our efforts here. #ReadForHealth

Brookline, Massachusetts

Play For Health

In addition to her advocacy and scholarly pursuits, Dr. Chanyasulkit believes in the importance of social connections for community and personal health. Engaged in her local community, she is also an elected Library Trustee of the Public Libraries of Brookline, and a Steering Committee Member of the Brookline Asian American Family Network.  Chris lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with her husband, James, a software engineer, and their three children.  They all love making new memories while traveling together too! When not with family and friends, you can find her on walks with her puppies Oswald and Dolly, or reading a good mystery book! #PlayForHealth
